Assessment into the Most Appropriate Management Style Which Ensures Effective Management: A Study of PricewaterhouseCooper UK (2013)

In this dissertation, the researcher has investigated a number of different management styles in order to identify the most appropriate management style which could be helpful in ensuring effective management of the employees working at PricewaterhouseCooper UK. The aim of this research is to identify whether traditional or alternative management styles are helpful in managing the staff members effectively.

The aim and objectives of the research will be achieved by examining different management styles and its impact on the performance of the staff workers. The researcher will focus on identifying the impact of different management styles on the business outcomes of the company and try to examine the role of different management styles in the achievement of organisational goals and objectives. The researcher has used both primary and secondary data sources in order to collect the data for research analysis purpose and to achieve the research objectives. The primary data was collected through the questionnaire survey and managerial interview.

The investigator has consulted various books, articles and academic journals in order to generate the secondary data. After analyzing the data collected through primary and secondary sources, it has been concluded that the management styles adopted by the management of the company are very important in order to achieve desired level of productivity from the staff workers and ensure their job satisfaction. The effectiveness of management styles within the organisation is also crucial in order to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

By concluding the dissertation it can be stated that alternative management styles are more effective and helpful in achieving high level of productivity and staff member’s satisfaction because alternative management styles involves the employees in day to day business decision making and managers implement the business decisions after consulting the employees.
